Monopoly USA 2013 is a digital replica of the class board game where you buy property and get as much money as possible while bankrupting the competition. This is almost exactly like playing the board game, but there are some advantages that make the game less tedious. For example, you won't have to count your money manually or check through your owned properties.
Game Premise
Monopoly USA 2013 is exactly the same as the board game in terms of premise. Each player starts by choosing an icon to represent them on the board. You will then roll dice and move according to your roll. Players can decide to buy whichever property they land on and owners can add hotels on their properties. Whenever another player lands on an owned property they must pay a preset fee to stay there.
The game is simple to understand and the action gets heated as each player tries to be the richest while bankrupting the other players.
There are several different iterations of Monopoly that use different rules and pieces. This is based off the original rules, which means it's exactly like playing the classic game.
Number of Players
You can have up to four players simultaneously. This is the maximum number of players, but you can have just two or three people if you would prefer. While some games allow for more players, four should be enough to keep Monopoly interesting as each player increases their fortunes.
Simple Interface
This game has a very simple interface that makes it easier for each player. When playing your board game, you have to count your money and make sure you keep all your properties organized. Monopoly USA 2013 does all this work for you and makes it simple to know what you have so that you can make smarter decisions.
Under each player's name you will see how much money they have and what properties they own. This also makes it easier to see which player is winning. The game will also automatically move to the next player when one is finished with their turn. This ensures that no one forgets who goes next.
No Animations
Unlike some other Monopoly computer games that have animations, this one is considerably plain. There are no animations that activate when you go to jail, buy a property or go around the board. Even the board itself has a very flat design that shows the graphics and colors of the property.
This makes the game look a little dull, but it does replicate the original board game design very well. Purists who only want to play the game might prefer this, but others might prefer a more lively design.
Easy to Run
This is mostly due to the flat design and lack of animations. Monopoly USA 2013 is an exceptionally light game that should play on nearly any computer without any lagging or issues. The game requires very little processing power, which means that older systems can play this worrying about glitching or the game freezing.

- Uses all the original rules and pieces

Monopoly USA 2013 is a strategy and family board game for Windows PC.
Monopoly USA 2013 was created by Hasbro and is a USA version of the classic Parker Brothers Monopoly game. Players must buy and sell real estate and other holdings in order to make a profit and eventually beat the competition and hopefully the bank. Monopoly USA 2013 can be played alone against the computer or with others. When players land on real estate, they must pay a rental fee, unless they own that real estate (a square on the board game), and the fee depends on the number and type of buildings which are on the square. Classic Monopoly rules apply to Monopoly USA 2013.
Monopoly USA 2013 is rated for everyone. The game contains most of the standard board layout for Monopoly, with a few add-ins to make it more interactive and entertaining for players on the PC. This edition has Marvin Gardens, Mediterranean Avenue, the Shore Fast Line (Short Line), Baltimore and Ohio railroad, the Atlantic City Electric Company (also known as Electric Company), Atlantic City Municipal Utilities (also known as Water Works).
Players of the PC edition will be able to choose their favourite game token, which is set on the board to visiually represent the person playing it and track their progress throughout the game. Interestingly, for some people the tokens are the game's most memorable part. Current tokens include the racecar, Scottish terrier dog, cat, wheelbarrow, thimble, top hat, shoe or boot, and battleship. Tokens which were previously in use but are now considered 'retired' by the board game are the rocking horse, lantern, purse, sack of money (1999 to 2007), man on horseback, cannon, and Iron.
Special tokens from the game are also available in the Monopoly USA 2013 version. These are items such as the robot, steam train, helicopter, guitar, ring, and director's chair.
Monopoly USA 2013 will work on a computer with Windows XP/Vista/7. Hasbro has also come out with other PC versions of their board games, including Monopoly: Electronic Banking, Crazy Cash Game, and Hasbro Arcade which is a smart phone app.
Pros
